Schnappers - Cut Overview

For those favoring their right hand, the Nelson boulder bank comes alive with substantial N swells. Schnappers, located on the northern tip by the bank's curve, performs best from low to mid tide. Meanwhile, The Cut, positioned at the entrance of the harbour, shows a preference for higher tides. Sourced from the south, light offshore breezes are ideal. Between Nelson and Whangamoa, several excellent spots can be found.
